Margaret Gowen & Company provide a fully comprehensive geophysical service with a proven track record for supplying rapid and cost effective geophysical solutions for archaeological site evaluation. Our unique geophysical capability derives from 12 years consultancy and project management in Ireland and the UK. We undertake work on behalf of government agencies, developers, planners and archaeologists providing a unique geophysical service to the commercial and research sectors. The majority of our work is carried out either prior to or in conjunction with planning applications for proposed development. Integrated survey design, advanced technical support, and the resources to mobilize three teams for fieldwork simultaneously, enable us to target and provide definition to zones of archaeological potential within tight project deadlines. All geophysical operations at Margaret Gowen & Co. adhere to the English Heritage Research & Professional Guidelines for geophysical survey in archaeological field evaluation (A. David 1995).
