Kieron received a Diploma in Geodetic Surveying from the Dublin Institute of Technology in 1993 and a Diploma in Business Management (IBEC NCE) form Dublin Institute of Technology in 2008. Upon completing his Geodetic Surveying diploma he worked for 2 years as a surveyor and GIS analyst for the Discovery Programme’s Tara Research Project and then spent a year as a free-lance surveyor working on a number of projects for the Office of Public Works and University College Galway.
Kieron joined Margaret Gowen & Co. in 1996 as a geodetic surveyor and since that time he has been involved with a number of large-scale surveying projects, including the Armagh Cathedral, Co. Armagh; Blessington Demesne, Co. Wicklow; the River Nore Flood Alleviation Scheme, Co. Kilkenny; N2 Finglas – Ashbourne Road Realignment. He has provided technological and survey support for most of the projects undertaken by the company.
Since developing his role as both Survey and IT Manager, Kieron oversees all surveying and GIS projects and is also responsible for the development and management of the company’s IT systems. Kieron is currently a Fellow and Council Member of the Irish Institution of Surveyors. |
