Surveying is a natural complementary discipline to archaeology. Surveying forms an integral part of archaeological work, enabling the accurate measurement and recording of the archaeological sites and built heritage.

Surveying

Margaret Gowen & Company has a dedicated team of surveyors, which undertakes a range of surveys for a variety of development and conservation-led projects. Building survey contexts include redevelopment projects, conservation projects, refurbishment works and planning-related work.

Geodetic surveys are required for archaeological assessments, excavations, planning requirements and the setting-out of geophysical prospection and archaeological testing along infrastructural projects.

Our surveyors use precise surveying techniques, backed up by the latest hardware and software.
