The route/site selection report develops the information supplied at the constraints study stage of the project. This study forms the main information-gathering phase of the assessment process and requires that a consistent methodology and criteria be adopted for the assessment of archaeological heritage on each individual route. The approach we take at Margaret Gowen & Co Ltd involves a combination of techniques that identify, describe, map and evaluate the significance of likely adverse impacts that each route / site possesses and draws comparisons between the different proposed route / site options.
